This individual was on the underside of a piece of Silver Birch bark on the ground. It was around 2mm long and kept still throughout the session. It has wing buds. The overhead streaks are spider web threads.

EM-1, extension, 1.5 Kiron TC, reversed Schneider FM 40mm at f11, twin diffused TTL flash, hand-held.

Images cropped from FOV 10mm wide.

Thanks. I don't find these very often.

    Lovely captures Harold.
Think the threads are produced by the psocids themselves- I often find them under webbing.
Try looking on the underside of Ivy leaves.

    Thanks, Brian.

I didn't know it was in their repertoire.

There is no shortage of ivy in our garden.
