14-spot ladybird with what I assume are newly laid eggs. I thought the smaller ladybirds would have smaller eggs but they seem to be the same size as the larger ladybird's eggs, just fewer of them.

Brian I just took this one today and thought the same thing you did "look a ladybird with new eggs", but after one hours she was still there but the eggs were gone !...maybe they were someone else's eggs and she was just making herself an Omelette ...

Gatto - Not certain but think she was actually laying the last egg when I first spotted her. Her rear end was in the air a bit and the egg was underneath her.

Interesting. Maybe you will find the larvae later one. The eggs should hatch in the next few days.
