I had an awesome opportunity to work with Anna, the owner of My Bare Sandals. She makes some pretty sweet jewelry for weddings/occasions :)

Model - Lindsey Williams
Makeup Artist - Amy Schmoldt

I seriously had a blast on this shoot. I hope to get into more fashion photography in the future. Let me know what you think!

Yup, I officially hate you :)iloveyou.gif These are BEAUTIFUL - you're such a master of finding the light, and you already KNOW how much I love your style. I especially like the ones on the shore - really beautiful.

The only nit I can dredge up out of all that gorgeousness is that for fashion they don't feel focused enough on the product - I'm looking at the model and the light more than the jewellery. I'm guessing that's ok for this shoot, but if you head into commercial work it could be something to consider.

    A+, sir!!

Just gorgeous work with a stunning model.

Your style and processing are way different than what I do but I am definitely going to start figuring out how to add it to my own shoots. Really terrific. thumb.gif

Wonderful, her posing in every shot is simply spectacular, It is hard to find the right balance between product and person, only your client can truly answer that.

I agree with all the comments above...truly lovely! The ONLY thing I'd change is that in #7 her skin looks a bit green.

Wow! Thank you guys for the comments and critique. The hardest struggle of this shoot is maintaining the "lifestyle" look while keeping the jewelry in focus. Mind you the owner wanted a combination of close up jewelry pics and modeling images. I was able to achieve what she wanted, and she was thrilled so I'm happy about that.

I do wonder with these types of shoots, would I be better off shooting at a higher F-stop? How the heck do I get the viewer interested in the jewelry over the model? It was certainly a struggle, but I still need to do my homework.

A little side note: The model was picked up by American Eagle Outfitters in 2013. I was not aware of this until the day of the shoot. She was extremely talented and made the posing super easy. I definitely got lucky with this one.
