I spent a lot of time yesterday,trying to gets usable images of the many blue damselflies in my garden. The continuously gusty wind made framing and focus a nightmare and only these two begin to show what my 105mm Printing Nikkor can do, even with twin TTL flash
These were shot at 1:1* (at the sensor, 2:1 with m4/3 crop factor), f11 and have been cropped for composition.
* The lens is optimised for 1:1.
I conclude that f11 can just about get the head in focus from side to side in side view. No images which demonstrate this were good enough to post.
