Hi Celtic, good to see you posting again. I think I would like the shot better if the stone wall and fence were not such a large part of the image...such as shooting over the wall catching a part of it in the very near foreground leading to the valley and distant mountains/gorgeous sunset in the distance.

Second attempt there Carl.....its nice...I wish the wire fence was not there.....but nothing you can do....cloning out that much structure out probably not possible. Cheers!
Yeah, second attempt after calculating position of the sunrise. Not as good as I'd hoped, but all part of the learning curve, think theis shot might work better with dark stormy skies, long way to drive for sunrise though. And yeah, I thought about kicking the fence down, but the farmer with his double barrel persuaded me otherwise! Lol

You guys have double barrels? I thought citizenry was disarmed long time ago!
Worth the drive!
Get the perfect shot!

For me the focus on the stone wall and fence is wonderful, makes it very interesting.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.
