I really appreciate the kind words. The shot from this morning that I was excited about turned out to be ho-hum. I didn't think that much of this one at the time but I was really pleased when I saw it on the computer monitor. You never know.

Outstanding shot Don! The dove really adds to the composition, but that cactus..... wow. I've seen many Saguaro but not one like that. What do you think is going on there? IMO the bw processing makes this image. Bravo!!!

Len, thanks. It's called a crested saguaro. They're uncommon but you see them occasionally. I can't remember what causes this variation. This is an infrared image, so the processing was more limited than you might think... mostly curves to increase the contrast and bring the dove out a little.
