Went shooting today down South at Boca Grande. Snapped my first osprey in flight. I'm sure glad I don't carry a cell phone. :huh :wxwax Saw a few pelicans also. I also hit the Venice Rookery....again. The typical GBH show.
Thanks for looking.

Oh, no I couldn't drop that on my foot. It might scratch my lens :lol4
400mm?? Is that the 400 f5.6? Arthur Morris says that is his favorite Lens. From some of the shots I've seen with it here it looks like a sweet lens.

That's what I'm looking at for the February Florida shoot....but I really want the Canon 400mm f/2.8...but will probably go with their 300mm f/2.8 with 1.4x converter. Then I'd go for that 500mm after that set up. Not sure of the time line. I have a silly self imposed rule (budget) regarding camera stuff. I won't spend any NEW money on stuff...but can rehash other hobby money. So..I'll be selling off much of my WWII militaria collection on Ebay to pay for the new glass. Just depends on the buying frenzy to the time frame involved. Need a flight helmet or invasion gas mask? :uhoh

Thanks Ben. I left the "stick" out there because I figured some wise crackin' smart arse would come along dripping pineapple juice from his pizza....all over my shots. Now I can pick up that "stick" and beat him with it. :uhoh
You and Jeff coming over for the February shoot with the Harry guy?

So how goes the E-bay sales? No one jump on your WWII surpluss yet? <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/rolleyes1.gif" border="0" alt="" >

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
