HTML not working...

I find that a simple html code such as this does NOT work...does not result in a bulleted list.

<ul>
<li>Portland Head Light - Portland, Maine</li>
<li>Marshall Point Lighthouse - Port Clyde, Maine</li>
<li>Fort Point Lighthouse - Stockton Spring, Maine</li>
<li>Ram Island Ledge Lighthouse - Portland, Maine</li>
<li>Bass Harbor Head Light - Acadia National Park</li>
<li>Nobska Point Lighthouse - Woods Hole, Cape Cod, MA</li>
<li>West Chop Lighthouse - Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard</li>
</ul>

Is there something I should know that I obviously don't?

Apparently there is a problem with HTML bulleted lists. There's some CSS that you will need to add in this thread.
