I am wondering if anyone knows if I can do this:

When a viewer logs onto my site I would like them to see a plain white page with my logo floating in the center - no menu.

THEN after a second I want the site to launch as it is now with the slideshow.

Hi Richard,
If you'd like to freely customize your homepage, you could do so via the customize > content and design screen. Click on the settings at the top and enable "independent homepage". That would remove your "entire site" content from the homepage so you could add only the content blocks you'd like to specifically display on the homepage.

That said, I'm not aware of a way to do what you describe. While you can set up a "splash image" that's displayed before the actual slideshow starts, that would only apply to the slideshow content block. There's not an option to delay loading of other content blocks on a page.
