Smugmug ver 2.3.1 for iOS not working

Yesterday I upgraded the Smugmug app from the App Store for iOS to 2.3.1 on my iPad. It no longer works. I am logged in. I have tried rebooting the iPad several times. My iOS is at 8.4.

I see all the folders and their names but no images, just the four spinning dots.

I am still using Legacy Smugmug. Does version 2.3.1 work with Legacy Smugmug?

The older version (don't know how to see the number) still working well on my iPhone. I'm afraid to update it.

This is a really great app and I always used it to review shots with clients. I am missing it badly in just one day. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?

    Can you try removing your account from the app and then try re-adding it and see if that makes a difference? If that fails, please contact us via email (help@smugmug.com) so we could look take a closer look.

    I did contact John at the help desk last night and we tried your suggestion and a bunch of others. Nothing seems to work. I sent some screen captures. He hasn't given up and will contact me again later today.

    I'm guessing there is something messed up with iOS on my iPad - although all other apps including SmugView seem to work OK. Hopefully I can get this working again when iOS9 comes out.
