Hello,
I just sent up a gallery and under category "Events". When I go to the Gallery I see my photos, but I do not see a clickable (upper left side of screen) to bring me back to my HomePage. I have other galleries and do see the various categories (and sub-catagories) and back to my HomePage.
Any help is appreciated,
SyBerGuy

Sorry Denise, the gallery in question is 'password protected'... so you won't be able to see exactly what I am asking.
Perhaps someone else can give me an answer. or maybe it is within the many tutorials on SmugMug..
or if need be I can contact tech support directly.

Do you have "Hide Owner" turned ON in the "SECURITY & SHARING" section of Gallery Settings?
That'll do it.
"By George" uppps, I meant "By Goughy" you got it! I turned off "No" for the Security & Privacy setting for "Hide Owner" and that was the answer. Now I see my HomePage at the beginning of the information on the upper left side of the screen.
Aside- I also decided to make that gallery "Unlisted" so it can not be seen on my HomePage.
So if anyone is viewing the gallery and clicks on my HomePage, they can not get back to
the gallery.... That is, unless they hit the back button/browser arrow. Or if they copy and paste the "URL Preview" (copied within the gallery setting screen) information which I initially will provide in order to go to the gallery. Further, there are two variations of the "URL Preview" depending on if I had set the "Hide Owner" to "Yes" or "No.
Thanks again to everyone who replied to this thread,

I'm glad you were able to resolve your issue. Yes, if a gallery is set to unlisted, it won't show up for visitors to browse to and a visitor would only be able to view it with a direct link.
If you'd like to give people easier access to your gallery, you could also consider using the password protection feature. That way, you could set a gallery public for anyone to see, but only if they have the correct password, would they be able to enter the gallery.
Another option is our private sharing feature (available on Power level and higher), which would allow you to specifically grant access to just specific people. Those guests would be sent an invitation email to create a free guest account, so they could view all content shared with them. That means, they would no longer need specific links to access unlisted galleries, but instead would see all content shared with them in their own dashboard.
For details on all our different privacy options, you can check out this page.
