This was on top of the door mirror of my car yesterday. It cannot fly but it hopped off after a few shots. I have seen, and photographed, the nymphs of this species in my garden but this was my first session with an adult.
I didn't have time to assemble a twin flash setup so this was done with a single flash.
EM-1 (manual mode), Kiron 105mm f11, hand-held.
Images cropped by ca 50% to exclude large areas of mirror holder plastic.

Thanks, Brian.
I was never aware of my previous, red car, being a good place to look for subjects but the black one has yielded some interesting insects. I have only been aware of this since I washed and polished it or maybe it was the subsequent dusting of tree polllen.

Thanks.

This one was active, almost continuously walking along the edge of the car roof. This shot, with my Printing Nikkor, excluded its feet as I sought a low angle. This is heh sort of viewpoint I failed to get last time.
