Green Midge

My wife and I were about to go out in my car when I saw this midge on the window of the driver's door. The circumstances were fortunate, in that I could fetch my camera via the front door of the house, rather than have to squeeze between the car and the adjacent hedge.

The images are a bit soft but I find them aesthetically pleasing.

I used my reversed Schneider HM 40 setup at f16 f 6mm, with flash, hand-held.

Thanks. With their deeply-domed thorax, and the bases of the antennae held down on the substrate, the DOF is a major issue and you have to prioritise.
