Need somebody proficient in SmugMug who can stop duplicates in "Smart Galleries" and in the general search bar. I may have the same image in several galleries and the image will appear as a many times it is in different galleries. Every image file has a individual file name. I have the search criteria to use keywords. So if this can be done please submit a price and lets get started, Thanks Jim

    Hi Jim,
To be able to take a look at what you describe, can you link to your site and give a specific example of what you do, and what you see? What are you trying to change about the results?
That should allow us to take a closer look to possibly suggest changes to get the result you're looking for.

    Dup's

Type the word Swift into the search bar you will see duplicate after duplicate. This is a result of the same image being in different galleries. The same criteria is used in smart galleries which I need fixed also - same problem

Entering the search word, I get 39 pages of results and to be honest, I'm having troubles finding identical photos. Could you perhaps include links to specific examples? When viewing a photo, you can get a link for it from your browser's address bar - highlight the link and then right click > copy it. Then paste the links for some of the duplicates you see into your reply.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. Could you describe this in more detail and also include links to specific examples?

Using new keyword "Reliable" in general search

    http://www.truckstockimages.com/keyword/reliable/

All using the same file name Truck_100613-6

    1 of ? duplicate From Classics 2 Gallery http://www.truckstockimages.com/keyword/reliable/i-bPD3jHj/A

2 of ? duplicate From Automobile Car and Racing Haulers Gallery http://www.truckstockimages.com/keyword/reliable/i-ZZ3TNh2/A

3 of ? duplicate From From General Scenic 8 http://www.truckstockimages.com/keyword/reliable/i-wSxbCSS/A

    4 of ? duplicate From Sept 2013 - Mar 2014 Gallery http://www.truckstockimages.com/keyword/reliable/i-MTsvj2w/A

The Smart Gallery shows the same Duplicate results. I hope this is clear now

And this goes on forever. Are you for hire or Smug Support? Because I already know this is broken and Smug Support can't help

Can you describe how your site is set up a little more? Where do you put the original pictures? Are they in an unlisted gallery and only appear on your site in smart galleries? Or are there public galleries containing the originals and then they also appear in smart galleries?

The reason I'm asking is I can't find a similar issue on my own site. I'm just guessing that the issue relates to the original images being in unlisted galleries and only appearing publicly in smart galleries. It seems that maybe in cases like that, smugmug handles things a little differently when it comes to keyword results. I may be way off base... haven't had time to test the theory. I don't have a solution, but if we can narrow down the cause of the issue it might be easier to fix.

My theory is just that when an original image is in an unlisted gallery but appears in multiple smart galleries, smugmug doesn't know which to consider the "original" for a keyword results page so it shows all instances. Again, untested theory but I'm wondering if you can at least confirm that's how your site is set up.
