Green Shield stink bug

Windy morning (as usual) but I spotted a shield bug on the garden path, so I retrieved it and put on a nearby dianthus flower. The powerful red petals make for a stark contrast against the green of this small green shield bug (Palomena prasina). These are 8 different photo's not edits of each other.


Half an hour has passed since editing these, and it is still sat there despite the elements!

Two legs and half an antenna are missing. There may be quite some story behind that. Even so, nice pictures.

I find shooting against red backgrounds an absolute nightmare mate. I often find it tends to come out looking over saturated and very tough to control. These look ok to me
