The large hoverfly Volucella inanis. I spooked the hover after the second shot but instead of flying off it landed on my hand. All shots focus stacked using zerene.

A good series, covering the Volucella features.

Have you considered using green face paint on your hand?

I was thinks more of a natural look, for certain of your images, not for yourself.
