This is a self portrait that I took one evening, when I was very sad... broken heart.

The heart is better now, got what it wanted :):

I don't love the dark shadows on the top of your head?

Sad is tough to comment/critique. I think the image does a good job of conveying the emotion though.

i really like this shot, but i think it would've been more powerful without the blue tint.

and i'm glad to hear your heart got what it wanted.

I think the blue tint is important for this pic: 'feeling blue'.

Sigal, sorry to hear you have a broken heart. I hope it will be mended soon. Nice picture, though!
I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

I really like photos that convey emotion. One reason I like them is because the camera becomes what it is - a tool; I don't have to worry about whether the photo has noise, overexposed, etc, because of what the photo tries to say.

Yours is pretty nice, I think, Sigal. I'm not sure I'd be so brave as to post a photo of when I'm sad.

i think the feeling blue is a decent idea, but i think it would depict sadness better in straight b&w without the blue tint.
