I got out on 2 hikes last week, these shots were taken in Blanton Forest; this is my wife and the resident trail dog enjoying the warmth on top of Knobby Rock. The view is south toward the Cumberland River Valley...

This is the same view with more of the rock showing...

These shots were taken on another trip last week to the Red River Gorge, A small waterfall & a sandy beach...

The remains of an old moonshine still high up on a cliff in a 'rockhouse'...

And some fungi growing on a fallen hemlock trunk...

    Owen, gubbs, USAIR, KMCC, Michael Allen, DanielB & DavidTo...
    Thank you all for your comments and valuable insight. I enjoy the feedback because it helps me see around my personal biases...
    DanielB wondered what the still would look like in black & white. I did convert one from that series so far... here is the result:

    Beautiful!
    Especially like the small waterfall. I just love these mountains - I'm ready for a good snow, though!

    WOW. I Like all of them. The B&W to the barrels adds a whole new feel. I think I like the BW a little more, but they both could fill different application. Nice work!

    Very nice looking pictures. I love the crisp mountian air - the view's it affords are priceless! The first two really give me the feeling of being 'up there,' great job with them.

    This one I really liked;

    I would like to see less of the beach sand in the forground. The woods behind the falls have a very sureal quality, and i think the sand detracts from it. Course - those are just 02 rolleyes1.gif
