Tortoise Beetle Cassida vibex On Dock

Having recently found one individual on a domestic aubergine plant, it was not a huge surprise to find a small colony only a mile (2km) away over open country (mostly lakes). They were on the leaves of Broad-leafed Dock Rumex obtusifolius.
I saw, sequentially, about five individuals, only one of which was not completely immobile. That one was walking rapidly from the moment I saw it until it disappeared. It could have provided the best images but it was gone before I had my camera ready.
The remaining ones (probably not all represented here) were photographed through my Printing Nikkor 105mm at f11 with twin TTL flash. That may sound like a simple process but I had to push the camera, my hands and, to some extent, my face between stinging nettles and hooked-spined teasel (Dipsacus) fruits.
Images have been cropped by about 50%.
I’m surprised at the variability in reflection highlights, never a problem previously in dozens of tortoise beetle images.

Thank, Brian.
About an hour later, I couldn't find one of them.
