Menu behavior for unlisted galleries

I am toying with the idea of including a menu entry for some of my own archive galleries, which are unlisted. I had thought of nesting them under a menu entry named Private. But I don't want my visitors to have access to these galleries or even know that they exist. Is there a way of hiding a menu entry for non-logged in visitors while letting me use it? Some CSS magic perhaps? Since the sand pile doesn't have a true visitor view (it shows unlisted stuff), there's no way I can tell what the behavior will be till I unveil the new site. :scratch
