Please help!

I have a page for clients to type in password to view their password protected galleries. I made this page years ago. --> http://info.kphotographic.com/Clients/clients/19284776_x97vqz

Now I need to create something that will work in NewSmug. Will someone teach me how to do that? I searched for a sample. I am looking for a page like this --> http://www.freshwindphotography.com/Home/Client/2015/Zoe-and-Tyler-Prom

If I remember correctly that customization used javascript and that is not available in new smugmug.

I suspect you will need to choose one of the available options in smug. You can use password-protected galleries, or you could consider using the new private sharing option. See Can I share photos privately with only the people I choose?

The new smugmug doesn't really do that. One of the customizers does offer a sort of workaround here.

Here is an example of one I did using a combination of a html form, JavaScript and the custom URL for the "client password" so to speak.

    Simple example

    http://www.joffoto.com/Client-Login

Enter the word : PAMI (all caps)

Hi Jerryr, That's exactly what I need. Would it be possible for you to show me how I can create something like that?

I have a "Client Log In" page in OldSmug. I spent days figuring out and created that page years ago. It will not work in NewSmug I was told. The new system of "UNLOCK THE GALLERY" is not what I am looking for as it turned out. I want one page with Password Box just like your sample (and also mine --> http://kphoto1.smugmug.com/Clients/clients/19284776_x97vqz ) I have made all my password protected galleries under a folder called "clients" and assigned 6 digit password to each gallery.

I hope you will have time to teach me what codes to write and where to put them.

    Thank you!

Just a word of warning before you "Publish" into NewSmug ...
Create a database of your present passwords because once you publish you can NEVER see what the password is, if you have forgotten it. You CAN reset the passord, but if you want to keep all of your previous passwords ... and you forget what one is, no-one can look up what that password is and so you will have to change it.
My opinion does not necessarily make it true. What you do with my opinion is entirely up to you.

See this post for passwords. Passwords will go hidden or probably are now.

We've heard your feedback and although gallery passwords in New SmugMug will continue to remain secure, we do have some tools available to recover gallery passwords for users who have not yet published. Let the heroes know if you're in need of them

This is huge for those with many old client galleries.

Thanks Allen, Thanks AceCo55, for the great advice. I have so many past galleries with passwords. I am telling myself "the change is good!" but this transition has been hard process for me since my OldSmug was heavily customized.

I will make sure I will record all the old passwords.

This recovery of passwords should be one of the popups on the transitioning to NewSmug screens.
Maybe even a warning statement before you can click the final Publish button. Could solve a possible
    big liability problem for Smug.

Users can continue to view their gallery passwords until they publish to the New SmugMug. After publishing the gallery passwords become un-readable, even for SmugMug staff (this is a security measure!). We do, however, have the ability to send your gallery passwords to you, even after you publish. Only the gallery passwords created in Old SmugMug can be sent (i.e. anything after you publish will not be sent with this list). Not all is lost!
