I explored a new road this morning. The road was a little unnerving but the views were great.

Very nice. thumb.gifThat territory looks to be most uninviting . It's interesting that the two major cloud formations seem to mimic each other.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

It appears to have been well worth the trip, Don. There is the hint of a lunar landscape in the distance.
The variety of gray tones really makes the shot for me.

Tom, Wayne, boco, Taz, Cristobal, thank you. Yes, the parallel cloud formation was odd, but that's how it was.

Super nice. I was wondering if a more dramatic sky from using a red/IR filter on the lens would make the scene pop more, but then I thought that a more contrasty sky would take attention away from the ground.

    Very nice composition and light.

Well done and most inspiring. I'll be out there after New Years and am looking forward to exploring the area.

roaddog, Wiren, joe-bob, JC, borderbrae, thank you all for commenting. This was taken with my infrared camera so it had a red filter to begin with!
