Small Weevil On Buddleia

I was photographing various, nectar-feeding, flying insects on a Buddleia inflorescence when this tiny weevil seemed to want its photo taken. So I obliged.

I have not noted which lens I used.

I quite like the way that the light fall-off from the flash gives a black background in this instance.

    Came out great! Not sure if the dark space in first is ideal. I think it would look nice if it is cropped like second one. JMO.

    Thanks. I was unsure about the cropping and went for the default, thirds composition. I think you are right.
