Are there any reserved words in New Smugmug (folder/gallery/page names, keywords, etc.)? If so, are they documented somewhere? For example, could I name a root folder "Galleries" or "Photo Galleries" (initial caps)?

While our folder and gallery names are forced to start with an upper-case letter, typing the url with the lower-case letter works as long as you aren't using the same word as a system page. For example, http://www.denisegoldberg.com/Kaleidoscope and http://www.denisegoldberg.com/kaleidoscope take the viewer to the same page.

In Old Smug there were some default category names but not in NewSmug

As Denise pointed out, all galleries names start with an Uppercase letter. Anything "reserved", SmugMug includes with a lowercase. In other words: there are no reserved words since we take care of it by the case of the first letter.
Additionally, our help pages, also as Denise linked, are usually the best resource to go to for things like this!

Please see the help page that Denise posted above. I don't want to copy and paste the Help page because information on DGrin can become stale or old. The help pages always contain the most up to date information.

This list is not complete
There is another reserved keyword not yet listed on the help page: customize
I can create a gallery or folder named like Customize. Because of Uppergate (URLS are Upper/lower case sensitive...) if someone vistis url/Customize he will see the photos but if he types url/customize (lower case 'C') he will not be redirected to the correct URL (see the example from denisegoldberg), he will see the smugmug website instead.
The redirection is just a workaround because it only works for the first letter. Means real url/KaleidoScope is different to url/kaleidoscope and does not even match url/Kaleidoscope.
I don't really care at the moment, i have shut down my whole site. But maybe SmugMug want to add customize to the list of reserved keywords/URLs.

Well.. this will bring us back to the old discussion about case sensitive URLs...
Right now i can type kaleidoscope instead of the correct URL Kaleidoscope (see example from denise) but this does not work for Customize. Without the SmugMug workaround for the first letter this would be true, visitors need to type the correct URL... but with the workaround using lower case c for customize would not redirect me to the correct URL but would redirect me for the kaleidoscope example.

From this 2014 thread:
CORRECTION: The redirect seems to work with galleries, folders, and pages equally. What confused me originally is that only the first letter of the name is modified (which is the only letter that must be capitalized in the actual name/URL). The rest of the "custom URL" is strictly case sensitive. So "photo-Galleries" does redirect to "Photo-Galleries" -- even though "photo-galleries" does not. While I'd prefer to see case sensitivity removed altogether, at least I understand how it works.
Thanks for info. Is this list in the Help somewhere?
