Green Shield-Bugs Through a Printing Nikkor

I have been a bit disorganised recently. I think the fourth one was through the 150mm and the other through the 105mm. These are the same population of bugs as in my previous topic.

The last is a cross-eye stereo. Ideally, it needed f16 for the stereo but Printing Nikkors only go down to f11. I must try a x1.5 TC. It could be better but it gives a good impression of how the insect appears to the naked eye.

I favor #2 Harold which is a slightly angled view. Seems to amplify the texture of the bug. Very nice all way round.

    Thanks.

I also prefer that angle but showing the near antenna can be problematic.

With the great view of the right antenna, I don't have any issues with knowing that the left is there and can be seen with a close look.

Thanks, The question of diffusion of lighting is very much a personal taste. It is possible to give fairly shiny insects a more or less matt appearance but that is getting into studio territory. So long as highlights don't hide the details, I am content.
These could have used a bit more diffusion, and more lateral lighting, but I getting the light between leaves, and not getting leaf shadows, is often the priority with Shield-bugs.
