Had a car show in our small downtown area and asked the fellow to stop by. Well this trailer pulls up with this brute on it. Wish I had the audio so you could hear him fire it up. 800+hp. WOW.

    Love 1 and 3. The car really pops. 2 isn't working for me at all, the pose is feminine and it seems soft. He's glowing. Unless that's an intentional reference to Repo Man or Blues Brothers?

    First shot is killer. Its really hard to do a car-and-person shot properly, in my opinion. But you have a very strong, muscular stance on both car and driver. The background is beautiful but does not distract to the subjects. Only thing better would be skid marks on the pavement. :)

    Thanks all. Jack, not happy with #2 either, he was a big fellow and did not want to pose him too much.

    Bill, I had open sky to the left and knew it would make the side pop out.

    Charles, did you ever see the 1986 Buick Regal Grand National "Bad to the Bone" promotional poster? This car would be killer as a recreation of that poster. :)

    Bill, never much into Buick but I did google the ad, nice. I was a GTO or 442 guy back then, Buick never had much to show for me.

    Love some of the pastelish shots on your flicker site. Very nice.

    I like the composition but too much contrast and topaz? editing on the backgrounds. More selective editing on the car and subject, less on the backgrounds for 1 and 2. The leaves and tree on 2 compete too much for my attention. That kind of editing looks better to my eyes in a more urban setting that would have less small details. On leaves and blades of grass that have irregular patterns it distracts.

    Thanks John, no problem. I think there is enough color difference that the car stands out from the bkg. I'm going thru a crazy HDR ish kind of period where I like the look. I"m sure it will change in a few more months.

    im with John.
    Also, when shooting cars straight on, make sure to turn the wheel in a little. It'll give it a better view of the wheel/tyre, and make it look more dynamic
