Tylopilus felleus, a Bitter Disappointment

During a search for mushrooms in our local woods, I though I had found one for dinner, one of the edible Boletus. I didn't have my camera with me so I picked it to take home.
Looking at the stem, I saw a coarse network of raised sculpturing. At least it was going to be a good photographic subject. The species was the Bitter Bolete Tylopilus felleus, not edible due to its bitter flavour.
I placed the whole mushroom on a wooden bench and took some photos. For the close-ups at 2:1 I used my Printing Nikkor setup* with triple flash. Fro the whole-mushroom shots I detached the two small flash guns and placed them, on their individual stands, on either side.
I have posted two images of the tubes as, even at f11, the undulations do not allow the whole field to be sharp. Each shows different detail as sharp.
The salmon-coloured bruising in the fifth image is diagnostic.
*The setup is shown in the last image of this set.
