Just wanted to share one of my favorite sites. The Library of Congress' American Memory

There are tons of photographs, old advertisements, pre-WWI baseball cards, panoramic maps, old sheet music, civil war maps, it's just endless.

Here's one that Andy might like.

I have two huge maps on my wall at work. Both are panoramic maps, one of NYC from 1856 (looking north up manhattan from the harbor) and the other is of downtown LA from 1891.

They have panoramic maps of Boston from 1870-1905. (I like the pano maps!)

They have movies of turn of the century NYC.

A collection of daguerreotypes, too.

Panoramic Photos

Downloads are free, although some are compressed with...it's a long story, not worth going into here.
