Shot along the coastal marsh on Jekyll Island, Georgia. Over the years, salt water intrusion into the ground water levels will kill trees that once stood proud.
Relentless erosion action on the shoreline by the Atlantic Ocean leaves many silent guardians in this sort of condition. There are literally hundreds of these fallen heroes stretched along the Georgia barrier islands.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks for looking in, Wayne. I appreciate the support.
Tom
Thanks, Taz. The layers of color are what caught my eyes....especially the bright green grasses running through the center of the image. I then started hunting for some sort of suitable foreground to anchor everything. I settled on the dead trees.
Take care my friend,
Tom
Thanks much, John. I was up on Edisto Island not long ago. You're right...lots of shoreline scenes like this one were there. I hope all this rain and wind in the Carolinas won't raise hell with the leaf changes in the high country.
See you, buddy,
Tom
Hey Joel. Those magnificent shots you posted of the dead trees in Africa were my inspiration to try and find something that stood out among the jumble of trees along this stretch of coast.
Take care,
Tom
