Had a cancellation on account of rain the other day, so I decided to spend my time shooting for myself. With the entire island socked in by heavy cloud cover and rain, I thought, "Whoa, I totally know how to shoot this scene...it's just like most days on the Oregon coast!"

These two are my favs.

    JonaBeth -

BNSTs are one of my fave shorebirds - so elegant and photogenic when mirrored - if we can see them when conditions are right as you did;-) Both of your shots depict them well. In the central US, we are often treated to huge groups during migration - I had no idea that they'd visited Hawaii. Well done!

Love the position in the second shot! Nicely done.

Thanks guys! It's been a while since I just spent time nerding out on photography for me. Being busy is good for both business and self, but it's important that I find time to play, which is beginning to happen nowadays :)
