One From Greece & One From The Garden

The first image of a flower spike in a meadow in northern Greece, September 2012. I am not a botanist but I think this is a sage species.

It was stored as a TIFF with no EXIF data. That would have been natural light, EP-2 camera and probably Leitz Elmarit 60mm lens.

The second image shows the egg sac of a wolf spider, not the view usually shown. EM-1, I am fairly sure that was with my Printing Nikkor 105mm, flash.

Nice shots, Harold. The flower spike colors are just gorgeous.

    Thanks, Wayne.

That group of plants is known for its coloured bracts, also varieties in cultivation. Even so, the colour rendering of the lens has a good reputation.

Thanks very much. All thing being equal, diffuse sunlight does the best job.
