Variable playback on slideshow

Is there any way to have a custom playback on a set of pictures. I have some burst shots, 8/sec that I want to play back say at ,5 sec each, but keep the rest at a play back of 1 every 3 seconds

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I think the slideshow settings are specific to the slideshow block you put on a page. So you could try putting this special group in its own content block. Again, I'm not sure, but I rather doubt you could change the timing for a subset of pics within a single slideshow. ne_nau.gif

Another idea: Not sure this would work at all, but you might try combining the shots into an animated GIF and putting the final result in the slideshow.

Edit: Out of curiosity, I put an animated GIF into my homepage slideshow. It worked fine. So if the shots themselves are appropriate, you could do the same, using the GIF's pause between frames parameter to control the speed of the transitions. At .5 seconds per shot, in theory you could squeeze six frames into your 3 second window, though there might be some overhead, so try it at .4 seconds and see what happens. deal.gif
