To the original poster at top: Are you asking why comments have not been showing up on your Smugmug galleries lately?
If that's the case, I will edit this thread and move this over to the proper support forum.
David, that was my impression on reading the question as this is the first post on Dgrin.

Ok, I'll bite. Used to get comments all the time, but this is your first post?

Lots of people who have Smug sites never find (or decide to post on) Dgrin. I think it took me quite some time to find my way here. That's why I always wondered why we don't have some Dgrin button when logged in-- it's buried lots deeper than "Help" is buried on Legacy.
I'm sure it's what Allen said--- few people want to log in with the few methods given, or log in at all. I can tell you I never post anywhere if I have to use FB to log in, & I have no clue why SmugMug folks who changed the whole comments policy would really honestly think it's any safer for us all, just because someone uses a FB identity to log in. In some ways that feels even less safe-- or it's just an illusion, if anything. Anyway, I haven't had comments for a long time either. I used to, & the reason is clear to me.
