An unexpected butterfly

Had an unexpected visit from a Brimstone butterfly a few days ago. Sitting happily in the sun on a variegated periwinkle.
First 2 shots canon 200mm + 1.4X TC. Rest of the shots Sigma 105 OS. All natural light.

    Nice captures.

    I saw one fly past about a week ago. There have been some false spring effects on some plants and possibly also on some fauna.

    Love the background on the first and the detail on the last is just beautiful. I really enjoy the stereos now that I know what to do! :D
