Thank you everyone. The SB800 is a Santa Claus toy, and I'm still trying to get the hang of it. I'm very pleased with the results when I use it correctly, but you should see the number of shots I missed.
William - do you have your exif info turned off in your smugmug galleries? I just wanted to see what lens you were using for all those gorgeous birds from Sepulveda Basin.
Or you could just tell me.
Exif is nice though, especially for the flash shots, getting a feel for what kind of help they're giving you.
Amazing birds, very well done! All of them (I looked)!
Thank you all once again, your comments give me encourgement to work harder. I don't know how to turn on the exif yet, but I'll work on it tonight. The lens I use is the nikon 80-200 2.8 ed on the Nikon D70s. The non-afs, and these two shots were taken with the SB800 speed light, which is a real challenge to learn if you read the manual. Right now it experiment time.
