That name is just for my reference. I have not identified the species or even the genus. On a nearby log there was a species of similar size at a later stage of development, which could be the same species. This latter find with be posted in a separate topic.
The habitat was horizontally-lying Pussy Willow logs in a stacked pile.
I saw this colony (images 3 &4) and was rolling the log, in mid air, to get a good field to photograph. As I did so, I discovered the Herald moth, posted yesterday.
Focusing on very white or very black subjects at this magnification (FOV 6mm cropped to ca 5mm) is always demanding. The DOF may be about 1mm, possibly less, at f16.
EM-1 (in manual mode) for magnification and Kiron 105mm both at f16. One flash was on the L-bracket, the other precariously balanced on an adjacent log.

Yes. This species is less aesthetic as individual fruit bodies, at this stage anyway.
