This mushroom was about 10mm high. I used my Printing Nikkor 150mm setup but, as I could work on a table, all the flash guns were freestanding.

Some of these are not quite as sharp on the nearside as I would like but the different lighting makes it worthwhile including them. They are posted in the order of my preference, which happens to be the reverse of the shooting sequence.

The main flash was mostly (perhaps entirely) level with the mushroom and to the left, illuminating the nearside. The first fill was in a similar position but to the right. Both were angled inwards at ca 45 degrees. The second fill was on a block of wood behind the log and angled downwards at about 45 degrees. It position varied from to the left of the mushroom to directly behind, it on the right. For some shots (not necessarily included) the positions of the main and first fill flash were swapped.

EM-1 (Manual Mode 1/205 sec) , Printing Nikkor 150mm at f11.
