Are you wanting the original raw files, no post processing? I just got this lens and I love it. It feels like a toy, but the photos are very sharp.

The only photos I have right now are the ones in this gallery. http://redbull.smugmug.com/gallery/1098018

The first 4 are sample pics:

    #1 shot at f/1.8
    #2 shot at f/2.0
    #3 shot at f/2.8
    #4 shot at f/8

Unfortunately they are ahot in jpeg, but if I get a chance sometime today I will take some normal pictures with the lens taken in raw.

if you reverse others on it. it only has a focus range of 1.5 feet.

It's a must have lens for the price.

I know the focus should be on the eyes...but I still like this photo of my dog.

There is no "should" in photography. I love it.

That's a pretty amazing shot for a 50mm and a squirrel. Were you that close, or did you crop the image severely?

Thank you and it is only cropped a tiny bit. We feed the yard squirrels so they aren't really spooked with me around, BUT, none of them like the camera attached to my face:D That was a very quick, lucky, snap shot and probably why I like it so much, haven't got near that close with the 50 since.

Great lens for the money. On a 1.6 crop body I've found the 35mm 2.0 more to my liking lately, but I do have the 50mm 1.8 as well. I'm thinking about picking up a Kenko extention kit and turning the 50 into more of a macro lens.

Here are some shots from Xmas with the 50mm:

Do you have a decent flash? The 50mm is an excellent portrait lens, and works even better with a good flash.

i basically learned how to shoot with the 50mm 1.8. recently, i decided to go "retro" and shoot a little with the 50mm at a concert. actually, there was basically no light at all and i figured f1.8 would be better than my 28-75 f2.8 for some shots. these were all taken with my 20d. the first and second shot were at iso 800 before they turned the lights down, the third shot was at iso 3200. new york city clubs need new lighting designers.
