There was a rotten deciduous tree trunk, horizontal on the ground. At one end there was a hollow near the ground, leaving an overhang. These two fruiting bodies were growing in there. The taller one was about an inch/25mm high.
I decided that this image would benefit from my version (I add Topaz Detail) of the "new sharpening process" I featured recently. In this case I thing it was the correct choice.
Someone suggested that this was Coprinopsis lagopus
EM-1, Kiron 105, flash (twin?), hand-held.
