I am posting tomorrow's topic this evening to not miss Halloween.
This harvestman lives under stones and under pieces of bark I leave on the ground in my garden. it is very difficult to photograph. If exposed to daylight it usually immediately runs for shelter, where it may jam half of its body in a crevice for prolonged periods.
It took me numerous attempts, over two years, to get decent images. Both were taken with a FOV 6mm wide, the frames being uncropped.
EM-1 (manual mode, 1/250), reversed Schneider HM 40 at f16 plus x 1.5 Kiron TC, flash, hand-held.

Thanks, Brian.
It looks more like one of the very large mites to the naked eye.
The second one is one of its more pathetic attempts to hide.
Harold
It wants to get away much more than I want to get close.
Harold
Thanks.
