    I really like the first image. I think the hairstyle was designed to be viewed from the side. :D

    A question...When you say "focused stacked using Zerene", how many images are we talking about to accomplish this? I guess I would mean on average here.

    Thanks for the comments Harold and Wayne.

    Wayne - number of shots I use depends on the magnification, the subject and the DOF I want.
    In this case it was around 5 shots for each image. It allows me to use more open apertures to avoid too much diffraction softening and still get the DOF I want. I tend to shoot macro with an effective aperture around F22- F32 ( eg F11 at 1:1 and F7.1 at 3:1) on a 1.6 crop camera.
