Cool, it works! Except the color might be a bit blue. I am not sure, but I think it is.

But the sky looks better as does the background.

my secret? work it to death, or until you think it finally looks good. i agree it's a little blue yet, but that was partly the day. or both days, i should say. the pictures were taken in two different places, and the horse i covered up isn't the same as the one in the final photo, but i needed a better background.

It look very good. However, I 'm not sure how you did it. The background looks resized?

basically, i used the second as the background, leveled the horizon, enlarged it somewhat and then used the clone stamp to cover up what ended up still showing of the horse. i used an action to remove some of the blue from the background.

the foreground horse....i set the black point (thanks, david!!) and did some other adjustments to correct the color so it wasn't so blue. i wish i could say i remembered it all, but i was experimenting and some things i tried and then threw out. i actually layered the other photo over this one and erased what i didn't need with masking.

i am still learning all the wonders of photoshop, even after using it at work for years. i have a tendency to overwork things, and am trying to get over that.

Yes it works Laurie. Those flea bit grays (not a derogatory term folks), to me, have sort of a bluish cast to them anyway. Great jobclap.gifclapclap.gif
