hello again. a fellow Dgrinner by the name Lells e-mailed me today saying she really loves my photos and was wondering if she could use some of them for a new book she is writing. **She's an auzzi so i would like your input Skip and Gus.** she says she has asked here before and you guys obliged for the book called "seeds of Hope" i did a search and confirmed that. what do you guys think i should do? she says she will give me full credit for the photo.

Exerpt from the e-mail

"Some people from Digigrin were kind enough to donate some of their amazing photography for a credit & recognition in the book but I have since lost touch with them. My cover art was done with colour selection and it looked amazing. I was looking through Digital Grin today and came across your work which I loved and was really powerful, was wondering if you would be happy to consider working with me on my next book?"

legit?

thanks again. you haven't failed me yet:thumb

I don't know if it's legit or not, but she also posted a thread here about it a while back.

To my way of thinking...if she can prove the book is for charity then i would help out for free...if there is personal gain in it i would not give anything on the sole principal that they asked for free stuff to sell & profit from...real bad karma there.

    Hey guys,

I can understand people being a little suspicious over such a request but I assure you I did NOT make a personal profit from any sales that I did on my current book. All up it cost me about $5000 including website design, business cards and printing costs and I made about $600 of that back. I still have heaps of copies of the book left and a large proportion of the copies were donated to Christian charities and missions that I am passionate about such as refuge, shelter or rehab centres for women in crisis or life controlling circumstances.

I don't write or publish books to make money, I write because I have been humbled by the many stories I've heard about how people's lives have been changed after reading my stuff....

It's all for the heart, not the hip pocket....but I appreciate you all looking out for Daniel who originally responded to me! Great sense of community!

    cheers
    Leanne

And yes I am from Perth, western australia.

No worries lells. So why not grab a digital camera & stay & join the community. We do not get enough shots of black swans.

I can't help you with the black swans, I think they're ugly myself. But I delurked myself again and posted some beach cliff face photos up in the Nature and Wildlife section.
