I'm not Ugly

Tried to get out and shoot some birds today. Wasn't able to find anything more exotic than some Coots. The subdued afternoon light helped quite a bit with the exposure on these. Coots can be very hard to get good exposures on, the bright white beaks tend to get overexposed at the same time their dark heads get underexposed.

Coots have a bad reputation for being ugly. While they are not the most glamorous looking birds, the're still cute little buggers. At least IMHO.

    Perfect exposures. You're right black and white is a tough combination. I don't think they're ugly at all, especially their big funny looking feet.

    i think they look like their personality that said you did a h--- off a job with the beak and body ,you have very good standards thumb.gifclap.gif and you take good pictures too rolleyes1.gif

    I think they are cute! Where are the big feet? I don't see any.:D

    Great job on the exposure, focus, comp. Just all around terrific! Wish somebody would teach me how to do it.
