Venus Fly Trap Dionaea muscipula
These are sold almost as pets in the local garden centre.
Being driven indoors by very cold weather, I found this subject for a very rare, for me, use of f22.
The main illumination was from a flash on an L-bracket, with two fill flash, one to either side, on the bench.

Thanks.
These are easy to find ins certain garden centres, together with Pitcher Plants.
If you touched the trigger hairs (those dark spines on the red areas) twice the trap would shut. (There must be videos on the Web). The trap is about an inch (25mm) along the hinge.
I might try again, with a slightly smaller aperture.

Thanks, Brian.
I had in mind an almost abstract image with the vertical shots.
