Lightroom Plugin ops between two computers

I use LR CC on a laptop and my main desktop. I generally only use the SmugMug LR plugin from my desktop; laptop is for light fieldwork, then I'll typically import a shoot's collection as a catalog from laptop to desktop, and from the desktop, publish to SM.

This time, I use SM plugin on laptop LR to create & publish a LR collection to a SM gallery. Today, I imported the laptop collection into desktop.

Question: Is there a way to get the desktop LR to "recognize" that there is a new collection on SM, containing the photos I just brought over as a catalog, and match it to those photos? I've refreshed the LR plugin for SM, and the gallery does not appear.

Note: all the photos from the laptop version of LR were imported onto the desktop.

No big deal if I should just wipe out, or add and overwrite the existing gallery, in SM. Not the end of the world. But I thought I'd ask, before I tried. I am quite good on a computer, but admit I've never felt 100% at ease with everything the LR plugin for SM could do. Nor am I totally up to speed on LR Smart Previews. That is a holiday vacation project.

If you right click on a SM folder on your publish service and choose "edit folder" theres options for "Sync Heirarchy" and "Sync Photos". Sync hierarchy (may be changing to "Sync Folders and Galleries") will update your folder and gallery list to include the new gallery. "sync photos" will attempt to match them between SM and LR. I believe doing both when on the folder should work, though you may need to sync hierarchy first, then once the gallery shows up, edit the gallery and sync photos. I don't think you need to do the extra steps but I'm not at the computer to check :(

Yep, that took care of it.

I get stumped working with the SM plugin sometimes, expecting to see an option when right-clicking for things like "sync photos" or "sync hierarchy". I forget that those options appear under the "Edit.." in the right click menu.

Thanks - I'm in good shape.

I've been sending Adobe fresh baked cookies and pies hoping we can convince them to let us do that in the right-click menu and not force us to hide it in the settings ;/ ::fingers crossed::

I have some really good pie recipes if you think that would help.

    Thanks again.
