Left to right, my grandfather Ben, his mom and his brother, circa 1920. His brother worked as a fine artist on the left bank of Paris in the 20's. My grandfather wrote 20+ books on folklore...
this is our place before they had cars......except for the porch being screened in now, the house looks very much the same. the little building in the back was a chicken house, and is again.......
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.
