Large Fruit Fly?

I am unsure of what this fly was. I am calling it a large fruit fly but it was at least twice the size of a Drosophila. It was on a Loganberry in August. I had considerable difficulty with getting good shooting angles and with getting lighting past the foliage.
For the above reason, no single image does quite what I would have liked but these have some merit. All have been cropped moderately

Thanks, Brian.
I thought you might know.
I can now do a bit more research into its identity.
