smugDAV on Mac OS X

10.4 fixes one item on the smugdav for os/x page. Namely the bit about ssl protecting your userid and password. Simply use https for the url and that little problem will be fixed. Sadly it still doesn't do much usefull with the resulting dav attached server... every category (still shown with ugly names) just has one entry, named "_". Will davkit every get it's head out of it's arse and be usefull for places like smugmug? :dunno I'll be damned if I know... but right now i'd have to say it's one of the least usefull of the shipped frameworks. (I actually have several other serious beefs with it, like the fact that the authors seemed to miss the word DISTRIBUTED in the name and seem to think it's just fine to save a file by blindly deleting the old one and puting a new one in it's place without checking to see if your last fetch is out of date.)
