Early morning on the Newcastle foreshore. Thought the empty carnival ground was too good to pass by though the background was distracting so I had to set my shots up slightly different to what I wanted.

    Kind of neat
And I'm not fond of B&W... it sure looks empty and deserted! Kind of mournful.

They are all great shots thumb.gifI love the first one. The second one, my eyes tend to wander around a little, looking for something to focus at. The 4th and 5th, especially the 4th, scream color to me. But if you are going for the empty and deserted look, you might want to keep them black and white. On the last one the slightly slanted pole on the left, next to the border is bugging me, maybe about a degree or so CW? I do like the DOFs you chose.

That first one really has a lot going for it. nod.gif

The empty chairs, the black chains against the sullen sky,,, very nice mood. My belly tells me something's slightly off, perhaps in the composition/cropping, but I'm having a hard time pinning it down.

Nevertheless, I'm glad I saw it so I can steal the idea!

I'd like to see some other crops, lose some of the right edge maybe, I think 14 is too central

#’s 1 & 5. Those are my picks. The others don’t seem to work, or at least they say nothing to me.
#1, I like this image but like the others, something about it troubles me. Perhaps its because the arc starts at one edge and terminates at the same edge ….???? I do like the picture.
#5, you gotta love carousel horses. I love b&w treatments, but on this one I want to see colours. Carousel Horses are famous for their colourful artwork.
Like wxwax I thank you for the ideas…….
